"A federal jury on Thursday awarded more than $250,000 to five Filipino immigrants, who sued a Santa Cruz nursing home that hired them with the promise of helping them obtain working permits and legal immigration status in the United States.

The seven-member jury in U.S. District Court in San Jose found the nursing home, Pleasant Care of Northern California, and two of its employees guilty of breach of contract, fraud, and violating California laws on the practice of immigration consulting."
